Road Traffic Police have been active in Pollokshields working with Glasgow City Council to promote the Go Safe Campaign. Road Traffic Police achieved significant results in the area including:
* Fixed Penalty 3x Seat Belts
* Fixed Penalty 1x Mobile Phone
* Fixed Penalty 12x Speeding
* 60x Other Fixed Penalty for Road Traffic Offences such as Bus Gate, Dangerous Parts, Red Light, Defective Glass, Defective Number Plate etc
* 3x Vehicle Defect Rectification forms (Offer to repair vehicle to negate prosecution)
* 1x Misc Road Traffic Offence (Vehicle removed from the road)
Road Traffic Police and Strathclyde Police Community Officers are working hard to tackle speeding drivers in Pollokshields – more needs to be done but these results are a great start to making our roads safer.
