David has received a number of emails, letters and telephone calls from residents who are concerned about a proposal to erect flats on the site of the former petrol station on Darnley Road. David has taken the time to study this planning application in detail.
David said: “I believe the application site is unsuitable for the proposed development. Darnley Road also lies in the conservation area. The flats will be unsympathetic to the surrounding properties, in particular the tenements on Terregles Avenue and Fotheringay Road. The development is a five storey block of 20 flats with a retail unit and ground floor parking entrance – this proposal does not fulfil any local need in terms of housing or retail.”
David has formally objected to the application. If you would like to object, you should send your representation to planning.representations@drs.glasgow.gov.uk or post to Development and Regeneration Services, 229 George Street, Glasgow G1 1QU. In order that your objection is recorded you should include your name and address in your letter/email.
